The purpose of this research was to assess & further develop the school-based Yellow Ribbon Ambassador’s training programme in New Zealand. The opinions & experiences of young people trained as Yellow Ribbon Ambassadors were also explored. Data were collected from a survey of 562 youth. Discussion includes a description of ambassadors; perceptions of Yellow Ribbon; training; ambassador support; & the role of a Yellow Ribbon Ambassador. (16 refs)
