This draft of the New Zealand Suicide Prevention Strategy addresses suicide prevention for all ages & supersedes the New Zealand Youth Suicide Prevention Strategy. The draft Strategy consists of four parts: Part 1 describes the strategic policy context for suicide prevention & the structure of the document. Part 2 summarizes some of the findings of the research that informs the Strategy. Part 3 describes the principles underpinning the shape & content of the Strategy. Part 4 sets out the objectives for suicide prevention in New Zealand.
