The Northern Ontario Child and Youth Health Report

This report provides a holistic, baseline picture of the health status of children & youth living in Northern Ontario. A current demographic profile of children, youth & families in Northern Ontario is provided, & social determinants of the health of these populations are highlighted. Risk factors for, & the incidence of, child & youth mortality & morbidity are identified. The prevalence of diseases, disorders, & injuries for Northern Ontario children & youth are also examined. The development of programs to improve the health & well-being of these populations is encouraged. (149 refs)
