This Manual was designed to be used as part of an interactive training with qualified Gatekeeper Instructors. Its purpose is to serve as a resource for individuals who complete the gatekeeper trainer of trainers program. The program is designed to provide participants with: general knowledge about suicidal behaviours; specific skills to recognize suicidal risk, respond appropriately, & refer a suicidal person for help; strategies to support at-risk youth; & knowledge about the referral & crisis response system.
