The main goal of this survey was to gather relevant information in order to inform consumers on different suicide behaviour, prevention and clinical intervention issues. Specific areas of study were: (1) the social representation of suicide; (2) the most frequent methods of suicide & parasuicide; (3) prevalence figures regarding suicide behaviour; & (4) the experience & assessment of patients who seek professional help due to their own ideation & attempt, or the attempted & completed suicides of significant others.
