This study investigated the impact of anger on patients with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Participants were grouped according to current levels of subjective & inappropriately expressed anger: 1) low subjective & expressed anger (se); 2) elevated subjected & low expressed anger (Se); & 3) elevated subjective & expressed anger(SE). While there was no difference between groups in their history of suicide attempts, analyses revealed that the SE group had greater ratings of current suicidality than the se group. (27 refs)
