The purpose of this study was to estimate dual diagnosis in a sample 280 felony drug sale offenders with substance use disorders based on their self-report of psychiatric treatment need and present symptomatology. Results yielded estimates that 40% to 60% of the sample population suffered from comorbid psychiatric disorders. Measures of depression, suicidal thoughts, & suicide attempt(s) among the sample population are included. (55 refs)
