In this study, 2703 Caucasian American & 1110 Latino college students completed the Beck Depression Inventory & Beck Anxiety Inventory. For each measure exploratory factor analysis with promax rotation revealed similar factor structures across groups. For both ethnic groups, & both instruments, factor analysis yielded highly similar 2-factor solutions. On both measures, Latino students scored significantly higher than Caucasian American students on total scores & women scored significantly higher than men. Suicide data is included. (43 refs)
