This article focuses on the relationship between Israeli society & Palestinian society from a psychoanalytical point of view, while emphasizing the processes taking place in the social domain. The psychodynamics of the terror organizations producing suicide bombers are analyzed in an attempt to better understand the bombers themselves. Bion’s alpha-type & beta-type elements are considered in parallel to the lack of dialogue between both societies & relating qualities of leadership to the Oedipus legend. (13 refs)
