This article critically examines the validity of common criticisms of the Oregon Death with Dignity Act, primarily through reviewing published research & analyses. After summarizing the law & recent development, 11 specific areas of concern are examined. The authors argue that the criticisms in each of these areas are unfounded given the research & analyses conducted to date. (77 refs)
