This article responds to an earlier study by S Jick et al., which found that acne patients prescribed isotretinoin did not exhibit an increased risk of depression, psychotic symptoms, suicide, & attempted suicide. The current author disputes these findings based on several methodological problems with their study, which she identifies here. S Jick et al. respond.
