This article presents the case of twin sisters with the same current clinical diagnosis: schizoaffective disorder & a personality disorder characterized by unstable interpersonal relationships, identity disturbance, & affective instability. The psychiatric & developmental histories of each twin are presented, & factors influencing the course of illness are identified. Differences in their symptoms, including suicidality, are documented & their implications discussed.
