11 student suicides at the University of Leuven, Belgium were analyzed using the psychological autopsy method. Semistructured interviews were conducted with survivors at the campus, at home, with counsellors of the student services, & other informants. The sociodemographic, psychological, & social profiles of the deceased students were outlined, & postvention interventions were evaluated. Based on this analysis, a policy focusing on prevention, intervention, & postvention, was developed. (12 refs)
