A psychological autopsy study of suicide victims of Estonia was carried out in 1989 & 1999 (years with completely different socio-political & economic circumstances). The focal subjects were life events in 3 months before suicide. The results show no significant differences in life events in different years. However, unemployment & ‘money events’ frequency was higher in 1999. There were some life event differences by gender & age. (13 refs)
