The Relationship Between Childhood Neglect and Abuse, Recent Adversities and Suicide Attempts. The Oslo Follow-up Study

This paper examines the relationship between childhood maltreatment, recent adversities & suicide attempts. The Childhood Experiences of Care Abuse interview & the Life Events & Difficulties Schedule were conducted on 47 suicide attempters. Sexual abuse significantly discriminated between repeaters & non-repeaters. Negative life events were also significantly associated with repetition. Suggestions for future research are discussed.
