After reviewing the normal mental health development of children, this chapter provides a detailed discussion of mental health disorders in young people, their risk factors, & prevention strategies. Disorder examined include attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression & suicide, anxiety disorders, autism, disruptive disorders, substance use disorders, & eating disorders.
