Guidelines for School Based Suicide Prevention Programs

This document is a set of general guidelines for school based suicide prevention programs. The conceptual basis of prevention is discussed in detail, & the requirements for effective prevention programs, their implementation & retention, are reviewed. Key components of comprehensive school prevention programs are identified. A sample curriculum outline for school based programs is included, along with a bibliography of selected crisis intervention materials. (17 refs)
