A case study concerning one dying patient’s request for physician-assisted suicide (PAS) is presented in order to explore possible motivations behind dying patients’ requests for PAS, examine the reactions of physicians, & provide guidance on ways in which physicians may constructively respond to requests for PAS, irrespective of their moral & ethical position or legal concerns.
