This sourcebook collects the best knowledge currently available about several strategies designed to prevent youth violence. Chapter 1 reviews general principles of intervention planning, implementation, & evaluation. Chapter 2 discusses in depth the best practices of 4 key youth prevention strategies & documents the science behind these practices. It also provides resources for further information. Appendix A provides a fact sheet on the problem of youth violence, & Appendix B provides an overview of the public health approach to youth violence.
