The authors argue that using the model of child abuse as well as traditionally used models of bereavement & trauma may be helpful when understanding the circumstances & psychological consequences of, & planning therapeutic interventions for, survivors of parental suicide. 2 cases, involving 4 children, are presented to illustrate this perspective.
