The authors examine the characteristics of undetermined deaths in Slovenia by examining similarities & differences between undetermined deaths & other death categories – suicides, fatal traffic accidents, & remaining deaths. The marital status of persons dying from undetermined causes & those who died by suicide were similar. Undetermined deaths & suicides were both more likely to occur in April & May. Given these similarities, the authors conclude that underestimation of suicides could be assumed. (7 refs)
