The author calls this book “an indispensable addition to any mental health professional’s library,” & “the best work of its nature I have read.” A compendium of knowledge regarding suicide, the book features a number of strengths, including its remarkable breadth, the expertise of its authors, the inclusion of clinical examples to illustrate issues & dilemmas, its extensive lists of references, & its easy, authored style. Minor criticisms are reviewed, but on the whole the reviewer is extremely enthusiastic about this book. (1 ref)
