The reviewer describes this book as a guide to help clinicians in their assessment & care of suicidal patients. A feature of the book which he found to be both unique & helpful was a section on “implications for the clinician” that appears at the end of every chapter. While the reviewer greatly enjoyed this book & found it to be a must-have for clinicians, he notes that a major gap in this otherwise comprehensive resource is the lack of discussion about suicide among ethnic minority populations in the United States.
