Suicide and Community Wellness in Nunavut: a Report Prepared for the Nunavut Task Force on Suicide Prevention and Community Healing

This document was commissioned by the Government of Nunavut Department of Health & Social Services in order to provide background information on suicide, suicide prevention, & community wellness to members of the Nunavut Task Force on Suicide Prevention & Community Healing. It examines current knowledge about suicide in Nunavut & reviews inferences available from information about similar populations in the circumpolar world. Causes of suicide, prevention, & community wellness activities in Nunavut & similar areas are also reviewed. Common links in the literature & points on which there is disagreement are highlighted.
