The authors describe the experiences of Jewish dermatologists in Nazi Germany. Based on the evidence available for 432 (76%) of the 569 Jewish dermatologists in Germany at the time, 10% were murdered in concentration camps, 10% died a natural death, 13% died by suicide, & 4% survived the Third Reich. After 1933, 49% were able to emigrate from Germany. (14 refs)
