Communities and Diamonds: Socio-Economic Impacts on the Communities of: £utselk’e, Rae-Edzo, Rae Lakes, Wha Ti, Wekweti, Dettah, Ndilo, and Yellowknife

This report looks at ways to strengthen the opportunities & mitigate negative impacts of the Ekati Diamond Project currently underway in the Northwest Territories. It incorporates data on 14 indicators for health & wellness (including rates of suicide) with data collected in attitudinal surveys of mine employees, in order to monitor & assess the impact of the project on surrounding communities.
