This paper presents the findings of a 20-year health care delivery system to the Native people of the Sioux Lookout Zone of North-western Ontario. The poor health indices of the population are discussed, including high infant mortality rates, low life expectancy in comparison to the non-Native population, mental health problems, & a suicide rate 3 times the National average. Recommendations for improving the health & wellness of this population are discussed.
