Yexley M~~Borowsky I~~Ireland M
This research examined the relationship between different experiences of family physical violence & the violent behaviors of attempted suicide, fighting, & gun-carrying at school among 133,794 adolescents in Minnesota public schools. Levels of violence against self & others were compared for male & female youth reporting varying levels of violence in their family histories. Results indicate that any experience of family physical violence was significantly associated with increased levels of violence toward self & others. (33 refs)
