This article examines the barriers associated with crisis intervention/information & referral service delivery to adolescents. Data & sample calls from the Boys Town National Hotline (BTNHL), serve to illustrate an approach they have developed to recognize & overcome barriers associated with delivering service to this population, serve to illustrate this approach. Suggested guidelines for other crisis intervention/information & referral programs are included.
