Does it Hurt to die? Bereavement Work to Help People With Learning Disabilities

Recognising the need for specialist educational support for bereaved people with learning disabilities, the authors set up a programme to help a group of eight learning disabled people come to terms with multiple or major losses. The programme, a series of ten workshops, was designed to explore a wide range of issues surrounding loss. Results were found to be encouraging, suggesting that the approach is worthy of further study. (13 refs)
