This paper attempts to address some of the issues facing all those who work with & support young adults living with FAS/FAE. It discusses the characteristics & common factors which are part of the developmental process of FAS/FAE. It then reviews certain literature to discover what others have accomplished in defining strategies for facilitators, trainers & teachers. Finally, it focuses on the authors’ experiences with young adults affected by FAS/FAE brought about by their work with the First Nations Emergency Services Society (FNESS). (23 refs)
