This article discusses the issue of police suicide. The debate over whether suicide is more prevalent in police officers than other occupations is addressed, as is the apparent lack of evidence that exists to support either side. Factors including pressure to be the best, stressful working conditions, substance abuse, the role of major depression, & access to means are also discussed.
