The author investigated all cases of suicide with autopsy reports in Romania between 1992 & 2001. His findings are described in this article, including urban vs. rural differences, sex differences, ratios of suicide to other violent death, temporal distributions, age differences, professional differences, & methods. The most significant finding was a higher frequency of suicide in the areas of Romania populated by Hungarians compared with the Romanian population. Findings are disussed.
