This proceeding provides statistical information about firearm-related deaths of people aged 15 to 19 in the United States from 1920 to 1990. The 1990 suicide rate is almost 4 times higher than those in the 1950s for ages 15-19. Firearm-related suicides for this age group reached an historical high in 1990. White males are identified as having the highest suicide rate, however the suicide rate of black males is catching up. (SC)
