The Air Force Suicide Prevention Program: a Description of Program Initiatives and Outcomes

This report describes the inception of the Air Force Suicide Prevention Program in 1996. Leadership involvement, investigative interview policy, & addressing suicide through professional military education are some issues discussed. The authors cite evidence that suicide rates within the American Air Force have fallen significantly since the inception of the Air Force Suicide Prevention Program.
