The first letter in this article asserts shock, dismay, & horror at the mockery of suicide portrayed in the movie Dead Man on Campus. The authors note that the movie propogates stereotypes about suicide & attempts to categorize suicidal individuals as spooky & obviously delusional. The second letter describes the author’s disappointment following the discontinuation of Hallmark’s circulation of sympathy cards for suicide survivors. A discussion of the silence & stigma that surrounds suicide is included. (SC)
