This manuscript presents several guidelines for suicide crisis line centers. These guidelines include information relating to confidentiality of clients, ethical considerations when dealing with crises & suicidal people, & situations in which emergency interventions are necessary(contacting emergency medical or law enforcement personnel in order to prevent life-threatening injury). Issues relating to repeat callers, caller identification, & third party callers are discussed.(SC)
