Acting on What we Know: Preventing Youth Suicide in First Nations

This book presents an evidence-based suicide prevention program for Canadian Aboriginal youths. Information about suicide rates in aboriginal communities is provided. Recommended guidelines for suicide prevention in these communities, & suggestions for integrated health care at national & regional levels are included. The importance of community-driven approaches to suicide prevention programs is discussed. (SC)
