This article describes the results of the Youth Risk Behavoir Surveillance System administered to American youths in 1995. Six categories of priority health-risk behaviors were assessed including behaviors that contribute to intentional injuries. 24.1% of students seriously considered suicide in the last year & 8.7% attempted suicide during this period.
