This article examined homicide in Iceland from 1946-1970. During this period 21 criminal homicides occurred. The 21 homicides involved 18 incidents & 19 known perpetrators; only one killing is unsolved. In 26% of the cases the offender attempted or completed suicide. 77% of the homicides involved persons under the influence of alcohol. (6 refs) (SC)
