This pamphlet contains guidelines for making the media aware of the complex issues surrounding suicide. The pamphlet gives guidance on how to report suicides in an effective & responsible way. It also contains information on suicide risk factors, myths about suicide, & statistics on suicide in Ireland. This pamphlet also includes a section on why the media should consider the issue of suicide, & a section on how the media can help. This pamphlet uses a case study to demonstrate some of the information previously mentioned within the pamphlet.
