This article states that the American Psychologist special issue on adolescence portrayed significant heterosexual bias. The author points out several issues that disproportionately effect homosexual youth. Evidence is presented that lesbian, gay, bisexual, & transgender youth have a 3-times greater incidence of suicide. Substance use & social stigmatization are also discussed. (15 refs) (SC)
