This article sets an outline of six goals set out by the 9th European Symposium On Suicide. The article gives various critiques, specifically to the expense of such a venture & towards the strict medical orientation of the venture. The author proceeds to critique the lack of emphasis on suicide prevention & postvention. The article concludes with a brief discussion on the future of the journal Crisis. (AK)
