Abstract
Evidence-Based Prevention Strategies of Suicide Behavior in the World: Implications for Slovenia
Henderson C~~Dazzan P~~et al
The authors discuss how Slovenia could consider tackling its high rate of suicide. In doing so they consider evidence for risk factors that may contribute to the high rate, describe interventions & supporting evidence to try to reduce these factors, & investigate the impact of a shift towards more community-based mental health services in Slovenia. The authors conclude by proposing a multilevel approach to reducing the high suicide rate in Slovenia, which emphasizes suicide etiology, high-risk groups, & multiple intervention techniques.
