Data were drawn from the National Comorbidity Survey in order to determine the prevalence, psychiatric comorbidity & suicidal ideation associated with co-occuring non-affective psychosis & panic attacks in the general population. Differences in sociodemographic characteristics, psychiatric comorbidity, suicidal ideation, & familial psychopathology were identified between those with non-affective psychoses with & without panic. Results indicated that co-occurrence of panic & psychosis is associated with increased likelihood of psychiatric comorbidity & suicidality.
