Dudley M~~Nirui M
Descriptive, cross sectional, retrospective audit of hospital admission records was undertaken for deliberate self poisoning (DSP) admissions of youth (10-25 years) in order to ascertain: 1) the frequency of psychiatric assessment; 2) the quality of information collected; & 3) frequency & completeness of follow-up plans. Results show that assessments were often lacking or poorly performed. Gender & age differences are discussed. (45 refs)
