This article briefly reports the findings of an examination of the suicide incidence, mean age, & population of Alaskan natives by year from 1950 to 1972. Sharp increases in incidence are found, characterized by a decreasing mean age. An over-all male – female ratio of approximately 3:1 is found to suggest an increased incidence of suicide among young women. Significant intercultural differences in patterning are also discussed.
