The author examines arguments, based on the American federal constitution, for invalidating laws against suicide. He presents reasons why he believes these arguments will (& should) fail. He goes on to examine whether there is such a thing as a right to die, & if there is, whether this includes assisted suicide. The differences between assisted suicide & voluntary active euthanasia are discussed. The dangers of establishing a right to assisted suicide are discussed.
