A cross-national study of 17 industrialized nations was carried out, relating the incidence of people with O, A, B and AB blood groups in each nation with rates of personal violence (suicide and homicide) and national characteristics. nations with a higher proportion of people with Type O blood had lower rates of suicide and were rated as less anxious.
