Proposals to legalize physician aid-in-dying (assisted suicide &/or euthanasia) have been subject of legislative debate & ballot initiatives. These efforts are evaluated in order to analyze the advantages & disadvantages of the legislative & initiative processes. The conclusion proposes a lawmaking approach more conducive to resolving aid-in-dying & similar issues by combining aspects of the 2 systems.
